The music played by Frederick and the musicians at his court is by turn subtle\, refined and as moving as the best operatic arias\, then brims with the fire and virtuosity that befitted a king. \n\n\n\nHere this music is brought back to life by these unique instruments in a rare combination that\, surprisingly\, has historical precedent in the chamber music making of Frederick and his equally musical sister.
