Lest we Forget

There’s a very great human tendency to forget the past or to recreate the past in fanciful ways. But we remember those who went young and died young, and those young people who were terribly, physically, spiritually, emotionally scarred and whose lives were either shortened or made terrible, and the lives of their children and grandchildren.
