True Strength

Jesus’ baptism by John at the River Jordan symbolizes a new beginning, echoing the Israelites’ exodus and marking Him as God’s beloved Son. Following this, He is led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness, where He resists temptation, succeeding where Israel had failed. His journey reflects the deeper spiritual struggle all believers face—temptations of power, control, and reliance on worldly security. However, Jesus’ example teaches that true strength comes from dependence on God. In our own struggles, we are never alone; the Holy Spirit guides us, and Jesus nourishes us spiritually, reminding us that God’s presence is always with us.
